The story behind the shirt…

On September 22, 2024, Flamingos Coffee Bar received a bad Yelp review from a man who said he felt unwelcome in our space. Why? Because we’re “disgustingly pro-women.” Naturally, we posted it to our Instagram story and jokingly asked, “Should we put that on a T-shirt?” The response? A loud, clear, all-caps YES. Thousands of votes, DMs, and comments rolled in — not just from people wanting to buy the shirt, but from women and allies who felt seen, fired up, and ready to wear that phrase with pride. So we made it happen. And we decided to do something meaningful with it: 20% of every T-shirt sale is donated to Exeter Area Womenade, an incredible local nonprofit that provides immediate financial assistance to individuals and families in need.

What started as a ridiculous review turned into a rallying cry.
We turned a negative into a positive — and a slogan into a statement.
And thanks to all of you, we’ve been able to donate thousands to our community while wearing our values proudly (and stylishly).
