Supporting Our Community
As a New Hampshire native and small business owner, there is nothing more important and rewarding than uplifting and supporting local organizations that support and uplift our local community. Community is at the heart of any coffee shop- a place for people to meet, gather, and connect. As an organization, we embrace the privilege to be able to invest in and highlight the local organizations that dedicate themselves to helping our community thrive. By working with local non-profits, we aim to get our flock of customers involved through coffee and communities by bringing awareness and presenting opportunities for support.
This Week’s Partner: Womenade
Womenade of Greater Squamscott is a non-profit 501c3, organized in 2005 to provide local residents with short-term financial assistance not readily available through other resources. Anonymous requests are received from community validators such as school nurses, guidance counselors, doctor's offices, clergy, social service organizations, hospice and more. Requests are reviewed by the Womenade Board and if approved, payment is made promptly to the service provider.
How we are helping: June 2nd-5th, The Flock Favorites coffee flight will have an option for the Womenade Upgrade- for an additional $2.50, you get 3 punches on your punch card (!!!), a free sticker, fun straw, & the $2.50 will be a direct donation to Womenade* that Flamingos matches in honor of NH Gives (a 24 hour event on June 6 where the state of NH matches every donation that Womenade and other non profits get)
This Month’s Partner: Seacoast Outright
Seacoast Outright creates a safe space for youth to explore the topics of gender and sexuality in a welcoming and understanding environment through educational programs, annual Pride celebrations, and youth/parent support groups. Based out of Portsmouth, NH.
How we are helping: Sip, Sprinkle, Support! Celebrating Pride Month with our flamboyantly fabulous specialty latte toppings, now more colorful than ever! Add a burst of rainbow pride to any drink with our $2 Pride Sprinkles this June!! All proceeds go directly to Seacoast Outright. Because at Flamingos, we believe in love as bold and vibrant as our coffee. Remember, every sip counts when it’s for a great cause!
