Full-Time, Salaried Position
Starting Salary: $52,000-$62,000 (based on experience)

Flamingos Coffee Bar is expanding, and we're searching for an experienced Executive Baker & Commissary Manager to lead the bakery program at our newest location in Dover, NH!
Flamingos is known for specialty coffee, creative food offerings, community involvement, and an unforgettable customer experience. As we continue to grow, we're building a commissary-style bakery operation that will support multiple locations while creating unique, scratch-made products that help set our brand apart.
This is not a position for someone looking to simply follow recipes. We are looking for a highly skilled baker and kitchen leader who is excited to help shape and build a bakery program from the ground up.
About the Role
The Executive Baker & Commissary Manager will oversee all bakery production for Flamingos Coffee Bar, leading a back-of-house team while creating and executing a menu of high-quality baked goods. This person will play a key role in developing new products, maintaining consistency, managing production schedules, and ensuring exceptional quality across all locations.
The ideal candidate has extensive bakery experience, a strong leadership background, and a passion for innovation. We are looking for someone who can create products that become synonymous with the Flamingos brand.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading and managing the bakery production team
Hiring, training, coaching, and developing BOH staff
Creating and maintaining production schedules
Producing high-volume baked goods while maintaining exceptional quality
Developing and testing new recipes and seasonal offerings
Producing products such as:
Croissants and laminated pastries
Donuts
Muffins and quick breads
Scones
Cookies and bars
Bagels
Specialty pastries
Other creative bakery offerings
Maintaining consistency across multiple locations
Managing food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste reduction
Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Collaborating with ownership on menu development and bakery strategy
Building systems and processes that support future growth
Overseeing commissary production and distribution for multiple Flamingos locations
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of professional bakery experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience
Experience managing kitchen or bakery teams
Strong knowledge of laminated doughs, pastry production, and bread baking
Experience with high-volume production baking preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
Passion for creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
Early morning availability required
